The issue started out intermittently where it would fire when turned over and the shutdown immediately. Fedup is correct there is usually a black wire coming out of the blower housing that grounds the magneto to kill the engine. All ignition switches have a terminal marked "G" (ground). Yes, as I said earlier the starter has an integral solonoid. You need to see if that is getting 12VDC to it and if it clicks, what the voltage is now on that large red wire once it clicks.
